Arthur F. Lowrie III, 61, of Ellwood City passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, July 1st, 2023.
Arthur was born on January 11th, 1962 in Pittsburgh to Arthur F. and Joanne (Griffin) Lowrie Jr.. Artie attended Lincoln High School and The Culinary Institute of Pittsburgh, which included a trip to Paris. He loved the cellars where the cheeses were made. He worked for Lowrie’s Gas Station in Pittsburgh, Slippery Rock University in the kitchens, and from 1997 to 2020 at Chrystal Springs (formerly Polar Water) sanitizing the bottles that hold the water. Artie was an outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his wife Mary (Geist) Lowrie, mother Joanne Lowrie of Fombell, step daughters Erica (Mike) Boehning of New Castle and Rachael (Shawn) Mort of Florida, grandchildren Abigail, Nora and Jack Boehning, Eric and Evan Mort, brother John Lowrie of Tionesta, sister Katie (Rogelio) Choy of Jupiter, FL, a multitude of local friends and a bigger multitude of cousins.
Artie was preceded in death by his father.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 7th from 10:00 am until the time of the mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am in the narthex of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Inurnment will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville, Ohio. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
