Mrs. Lana June Pandos, 76, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, June 27th, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley in Beaver.
Mrs. Pandos was born on May 28th, 1947 in Ellwood City to the late Anthony “Tony” and Betty (Rutter) DeFonde. Lana graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1965. She worked at St. Francis Hospital in New Castle from 1967 to 1979, Bill Kennedy State Farm Insurance from 1979 to 1987, and Passavant Retirement Center from 1987 to 2004. Lana is a member of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. She also is a member of the former Ellwood City Hospital Auxiliary and American Business Women’s Association. She enjoyed volunteering, spending time with family and friends, and shopping especially with her dear friend “Matilda 2”
Lana is survived by her husband Michael Pandos whom she married on July 19th, 1988, son Johnny Lonnett, brother Bob (Karen) DeFonde, and her sisters Sandy Annarumo (Ralph), Jackie (Walter “Bucky”) Betke, Brenda (Jimmy) Spievogel, and many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Danny DeFonde, sister Lori Hulick, brother-in-law Jerry Hulick, and nephew Ryan DeFonde.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Rev. Matthew Bupp officiating. Inurnment will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
