Adrienne L. (McGinnis) Haegg, of Ellwood City went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Adrienne was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Lynch) McGinnis and was raised in her beloved “Bucks County”. She attended Edinboro University with an Art Major and met the late Paul Dodds Johnson Sr. whom she married and later had seven children.
In 1991 she married Vernon Haegg and added more members to her beloved family.
She is survived by her children Gailyn (Mark) Matscherz of Zelienople, PA, Alison (Jeff) Scott of Ellwood City, PA, Erin Roman of Sherman, NY, DJ (Elizabeth) Johnson of Wernersville, PA, Lauran (Tim) Houk of New Castle, PA, and Dan (Nichole) Johnson of Sherman, NY, and 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, and her son, Shawn Johnson.
She was a woman of great faith, a prayer warrior, and loved being a member of the Word Alive Church. She was a social butterfly, always on the move to her next church get-together, a shopping trip to Boscov’s or preparing for the next family event. Her favorite time of year was Easter, and it was her joy to have a backyard egg hunt for all her grandchildren. Her love for Jesus was infectious, enthusiastic, and graciously shared to all who crossed her path.
She will always be remembered for faithfully sending birthday, holiday cards and cards of cheer and thanks to her loved ones and friends. She had deep love for her family and was always quick to encourage and uplift everyone around her. She was joyful, kind, creative, loyal, compassionate and will be greatly missed.
We will forever treasure our memories with you especially the “WONDERFULS”
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7th from 3:00-6:00 pm and on Saturday, April 8th from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc, with Pastor Gail Davis officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Zelienople.
I remember the first time meeting Nan, many years ago. She would touch your hand or arm and ask “Love, do you know Jesus” makes me smile to this day. Her faith was the strongest I’ve ever seen. I will miss you Nan and your gentle touch💗
