Cheryl D. Gallagher, 75 of Ellwood City, passed away on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023 at the UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
Cheryl was born on August 18th, 1947 in Ellwood City to the late, Lawrence “Larry” and Mary M. (LaPenta) DeBlaso Sr.. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1965. Cheryl worked for Loccisano’s as a clerk for 15 years, Walmart in the receiving department, and most recently, at Disney World as part of their retail cast, where she was awarded the Walt Disney Legacy Award. She is a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Cheryl was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling, gardening, watching HGTV, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Brian) Benton of Winter Garden, FL and Jill (Darren) Wright of Harmony, sons, Jason (Kellie) Gallagher of Franklin Township, grandchildren, Chandler and Piper Benton, Kaylee and Liam Gallagher, and Gabe and Chloe Wright, sisters, Diane (Ross) Atkinson and Carol Todd, both of Ellwood City, brothers, David (Debbie) DeBlaso of Georgia, and Gary (Cindy) DeBlaso of Ellwood City, sister-in-law, Cathy DeBlaso of Ellwood City, and brother-in-law, Mike (Veda) Gallagher of Ellwood City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 42 years, Donald E. “Dutch” Gallagher whom she married on February 7th, 1970 and passed away on April 8th, 2012, brothers, Lawrence “Larry” Jr., Mark, Craig, and Frank DeBlaso, and her brother-in-law, Steven Todd.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 6th, from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
