Mrs. Vita L. Prence, 94, of Koppel passed away on Saturday, February 25th, 2023 at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph in Baden.
Mrs. Prence was born in Koppel on September 2nd, 1928 to the late Charles and Rose (Petti) Nardone. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1945. In May of 1946 she married her husband Edward Prence who later passed away on October 3rd, 1971. Following Ed’s passing Vita was hired at the Beaver County Court House in the Department of Voter Registration and worked there until her retirement in 1990. For many years she was an active member, and volunteer at the former Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Koppel and a member of the church’s Christian Mothers organization. Presently she is a member of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. While her son was playing high school football for Beaver Falls she helped with the Beaver Falls Football Mothers and served as treasurer for the group. Vita will be remembered as being a great cook and enjoyed traveling to Europe.
She is survived by her daughters Deborah Prence and her husband Leo Quigley of Washington D.C. and Diane (Richard) Klugh of Natrona Heights, sons Neal Prence of Koppel and Edward (Elizabeth) Prence of Clearwater, FL, grandchildren Megan Prence, Aden Prence, Johanna (Elvin) Jenkins, Rhea (Daniel) Allen, Jeffrey (Allison) Klugh, Alissa Klugh, Leslie (Andrew) Wall, and Edward Prence, great-grandchildren Wesley Sullivan, Katherine Jenkins, Natalie Jenkins, Nathan Klugh, Lillian Klugh, Ethan Wall, and Sophia Wall, and her brother Joseph “Joe” Nardone of Koppel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, granddaughter Amy Star Sullivan, and sister-in-law Olga Nardone.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church.
