Red Barn Theatre Announces 2023 Season Schedule

The Red Barn Players have announced their 2023 season scheduled of shows.

The theater performs a show in the months of June, July, August, and September and season tickets are available.

Each Season Ticket for $63.00 and gives you (4) passes to be used in any combination during the 2023 performances.

Tickets for General Admission will go on sale beginning April 15th. Season Ticket Holders may begin making reservations on April 1st. Season Tickets may be purchases on the website at www.redbarnplayers.com.

The theatre will also hold two auditions/meetings for interested or new members on Thursday, March 9th, and Sunday, March 12th at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 Grandview Avenue, Zelienople, PA.

The theatre was founded in 1955 and has been providing quality entertainment in the same location for 68 years. We enjoyed a successful season in 2022, after being closed during the pandemic. Our patrons and members were excited to be back open and entertaining our patrons in 2022 and are excited to present our 2023 productions. We are a non-profit 501 C-3 organization and any donations are welcome and are an IRS deductible contribution. We were pleased to construct a new concession stand 6 years ago with modern bathrooms. The theatre was closed during the pandemic, but we were happy to present outdoor entertainments during 2021.

“We look forward to many more seasons of presenting quality entertainment,” says Red Barn Players President, Amos Eppihimer.

“Exit Laughing”
Written by Paul Elliott Directed by Shelly Cary
June 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17

When the biggest highlight in your life for the past 30 years has been your weekly bridge night out with the “girls,” what do you do when one of your foursome inconveniently dies? If you’re Connie, Leona and Millie, three southern ladies from Birmingham, you do the most daring thing you’ve ever done. You “borrow” the ashes from the funeral home for one last card game, and the wildest, most exciting night of your lives involves a police raid, a stripper and a whole new way of looking at all the fun you can have when you’re truly living.

“Children of Eden” (musical)
Book: John Caird Music & Lyrics: Stephen Schwartz
Based on a Concept by: Charles Lisanby Directed by Jessica Patterson
July 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22

A joyous and inspirational musical about parents, children, and faith… Not to mention centuries of unresolved family business! Adam, Eve, Noah and the “Father” who created them deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children. The show ultimately delivers a bittersweet. but inspiring. message: that “the hardest part of love… is letting go.”

“The Charitable Sisterhood of The Second Trinity Victory Church”
Written by Bo Wilson Directed by Patrick Erkman
Aug 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26

The roads are flooded, the bridges are washed out, and less generous souls are staying safely indoors, but it takes more than a little rain to keep the ladies of the Charitable Sisterhood from fulfilling their sworn mission. When these ladies meet to organize a relief effort for homeless Guatemalans, they are greeted with a small mountain of community donations—and that pile of stuff in this little church basement is hiding a thing or two. Our five angels of mercy will leave you breathless with laughter as they do their best to help the victims of global disaster, spiritual deprivation and, most of all, one another.

“Arsenic and Old Lace”
Written by Joseph Kesselring Directed by Lori Corbin
Sept. 15, 16, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30

We meet the charming and innocent ladies who populate their cellar with the remains of socially and religiously “acceptable” roomers; the antics of their brother who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt!
