The Ellwood City Wolves Den II met at the Connequenessing Country Club on Wednesday February 8, 2023.
The members welcomed new member Rich Griffith.
The members voted to keep the current Board of Directors, consisting of nine members, for another three years.
The club conducts three fundraisers that support their scholarship fund during the year. First: the Annual Golf Bash on February 19, 2023 at the Sons Of Italy. Second: the Ellwood City Arts and Crafts Festival on June 30 and July 1 nd 2, 2023 in Ewing Park. Third: the Annual Oktoberfest held on October 7, 2023 in Ewing Park.
All members were encouraged to assist in the Golf Bash. Tickets for the event are sold out. The event runs from 12 noon to 5PM. Please assist where you can.
The 75th Wolves Club Anniversary Dinner is being held on Wednesday April 12, 2023 at the Connequenessing Country Club beginning with a cocktail hour from 5-6 with dinner following at 6PM. Dinner tickets are $35 per person. Ads for the 75th Anniversary Memorial Book are available starting at $50 for an eighth page or patron ads are available at $10. Members can bring a guest and should plan on attending this once in a lifetime event.
The Wolves Club is offering $17,000 in scholarships to high school students from Lincoln and Riverside Schools. Applications are available on line at pittsburghfoundation.org or see your high school guidance counselor.
The Wolves Club moto is “Pro Bono Publico” which translates into for the good of the public. The Club next meets on Wednesday March 8, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Connequenessing Country Club.
