Richard Claire “Dick” Main, 84, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully at AHN Wexford Hospital on February 9, 2023. He was the son of the late Claire and Pauline (Britton) Main and was born August 21, 1938, in Ellwood City.
He is survived by his sons; Daniel Main, David Main and his wife Jackie (Clyde), grandchildren; Brandi Beachem and her husband Jim, Ethen Main and his wife Angela, Blake Main and; great-grandchildren; Mikayla and Jordyn Beachem, his longtime and devoted partner, of 33 years, Essie Stuart, step-children and step-grandchildren; Cindy, Gary, Ben Langer and their spouses, Bobbie Lyons and her children; Makya, Justin and Brendan Santucci, Colleen White and her husband Michael, Brock White, Emily White, and Kaitlyn Vogel.
Dick was employed by the Ellwood City Forge for 34 years and he retired in 2000. He was a lifetime member of the Beaver Falls Boat Club, the Hungarian Home, and the Sons of Italy. He loved being outside where he was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed camping, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a true friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded by his first wife, Carol Main, and three siblings; Sally, Marge and Tom.
Friends may call on the family on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at Turner’s with a Funeral Service beginning at 7:00pm, with Pastor Dennis Arndt officiating.
