Mrs. Colleen Agostinelli, 92, of Perry Township passed away on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023 at her residence with her loving family at her bedside.
Mrs. Agostinelli was born in Ellwood City on July 26th,1930 to the late Karl and Grace (Irwin) Ketterer. She is a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1948. Over the years Colleen worked at Bell Telephone, Riverside Pharmacy, Montgomery Ward, the Hallmark Store at Franklin Plaza, and Carleen’s Dress Shop. She along with her husband Carl also owned and rented many Ellwood City properties which became thriving businesses. She is a member of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Colleen was also a longtime volunteer with the Ellwood City Wolves Club, where she could be found helping at the Ellwood City Arts Craft and Food Festival, Wolves Club booth cutting tomatoes and onions or working the front counter taking food orders. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting, baking cookies, crossword puzzles, traveling, casinos, and shopping. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Colleen is survived by her daughters Carla Sabatino of Ellwood City, Caryn (Bernie) Rubrecht of Tampa, FL, Cara Forbeck of Monroeville, and Carol (Rob) Bachman of Long Island, NY, son Curt (Michelle) Agostinelli of Perry Twp., grandchildren Barry Agostinelli, Cari (John) Marker, Jill (Clayton) Jefferson, Laura (Matt) Fleming, Denny Sabatino, Maggie (Prescott) Scaffe, Carly and Lili Rubrecht, Carlo, Anthony, and Maura Agostinelli, Nicholas and Joseph Bachman, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Ken (Cathy) Ketterer of Wampum, and Dave (Patty) Ketterer of Perry Twp. and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl F. Agostinelli whom she married on July 17th,1950 and passed away on November 3rd 2021, son Carl S. Agostinelli, daughter-in-law Debbie Agostinelli, grandson Michael Sabatino, sister Marjorie Hendrickson, and brothers Richard and Don Ketterer.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the Blessing Service at 11:00 am at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Deacon Jeff Ludwikowski officiating. Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, St. Peter’s Mausoleum.
