Louise R. “Tubby” Rozzi, Jr., 82

Mr. Louise R. “Tubby” Rozzi, Jr., 82, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully in the home he shared with his son on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023.

Tubby was born on July 2nd, 1940 to the late Louis R. and Francis (Mingione) Rozzi. He was a Lincoln High School 1958 graduate and then he served 2 years in the U.S. Navy. After his honorable discharge from military service he was employed for over 24 years at the former Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) steel mill in Koppel. He is a member of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Tubby had coached Ellwood City Area Baseball at both the Farm League and Little League level and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Yankees fan.

He is survived by son Michael Rozzi and his partner Suzy Stramella whom he resided with in Ellwood City and Lori Kimmel of Texas, and 4 step children Kenny (Shari) Shirley, Susan (Al) Carusone, and Ronald (Debra) Shirley all of Ellwood City. Also surviving is his sister Rosemary Rozzi of Ellwood City.

He was preceded in death by his ex-wife Darlene Allison in 2018, grandson Matthew Kimmel in 1992, and step-daughter Deborah Shirley in 2020.

Per Mr. Rozzi’s wishes there will be no public service where his cremated remains will be placed to rest at a later date. A private Memorial Blessing Service for the family will be held at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with full military honors to be conducted.

Dad,,I miss you everyday!!we may not have said it enough,,but you know I loved you and you loved me..you were my coach,,my buddy but most of all you were my DAD and were always by my side no matter what mess I got ini wish I could be half the man you were 143 Big Tub miss you everyday lil Gianna really misses you as does Suzy GOD is keeping you well now Dad!!
