Mrs. Eva Jane Cowan, 74, of Perry Township passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 following and extended illness.
Jane was born on March 24th, 1948 in Ellwood City to the late Edward S. and Betty J. (Ryder) Locke. She was married to John R. “Jack” Cowan for 42 years until his passing on November 27th, 2008.
She is survived by her two sons Robert and Ronald Cowan of Perry Twp., and her brother Timothy (Debby) Locke of Wayne Township.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, brothers James Edward, Robert Earl, Gary Scott, and Donald Locke, and her beloved sister-in-law Wanda “Breezy” Locke.
Jane enjoyed many occupations but her favorite was Spoa’s Fine Foods in Ellport. Many wonderful friendships were formed during those years. Jane had an incredible group of friends, many of which helped her through the hardships and illness until the very end. Jane’s friends will always be valued as the greatest treasure she collected in her life’s journey.
During her final years Jane was attended by Gentiva Hospice. The service and care provided from them went far beyond expectations and Jane’s family and friends wish to thank Rick, Billy Jo, and Toni for their selfless efforts.
As per Jane’s wishes there will not be a public service. The final arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
