Mr. Robert (Herbie) Wright, 85, of Franklin Township, peacefully passed into eternal rest on the morning of November 21st.
Born December 11, 1936, in Fombell. He was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothea (Kirkwood) Wright.
Herbie was a magnet for fun, a lover of life, never missing an opportunity to make you feel like the most important person in the room. Herbie loved yard sales, camping, and admiring classic cars. He would never turn down spending time shooting the breeze. Most importantly, Herbie adored his family and spending time with them at the Outer Banks.
He had worked at Precision Metals and Seneca Valley High School, and was a life time member of the Franklin Twp. Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Elizabeth (Liz) Wright whom he married May 26, 1962. They shared two daughters Robin (Rob) Cancelliere and Beth Charlier (Jason Nye). He is survived by his brother Jerry (Pat Wright) of North Sewickley Township. He also leaves behind 8 grandkids, 14 great grandkids and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Joanne Best, Shirley Lowers, Peg Best, and Nancy Mercado, brothers Richard Wright and Jack Wright and half brother Bill Kirkwood.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:00 pm at the Lillyville Church of God with Pastor Dennis Arndt officiating. Interment will be at the Lillyville Church of God Cemetery. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
