Ronald D. “Squirt” Reeher, 88

Ronald D.”Squirt” Reeher, 88, of Wampum (Big Beaver Boro) passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Heritage Valley – Beaver Hospital.

Born July 24, 1934 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Frederick and Isabel Blythe Reeher. He was married to Janet R. Percic Reeher for 59 years when she died October 19, 2016.

Ron first retired from Babcox and Wilcox where he was a foreman in the Hot Finish Department and then from Koppel Steel, Ambridge Works where he was the superintendent of the Oil Well Tubing Dept. Ron attended the former Koppel Methodist Church. Ron was a Veteran of the Army. He was a member of the IMBS Club in Koppel and the West Mayfield VFW. Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed going to the casino. He was also a great cook. His morning ritual was feeding the birds and animals that entered his yard. What he enjoyed the most in his later years was hanging with his two sons.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald J (Linda) Reeher of Wampum, Richard J. (Vicki) Reeher of Koppel; sister, Janet Ross of Koppel; brother in law, John (Kathy) Percic of Beaver Falls; sister in law, Gloria Botte of Beaver; grandchildren, Jordan (Melissa), Jason, and Ronald Reeher; and a great granddaughter, Aniela Reeher.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday October 15 from 1:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 5:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. Pastor Dave Keppen will officiate. Military rites will be offered by the Veterans Honor Guard.
