Ellwood City Fire Department To Host Town Hall Meeting On Monday

The Ellwood City Fire Department will host a town hall meeting on Monday.

The meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and in regards to a tax referendum question borough residents will answer on the November 8 election.  The question is: Would you accept a new one mill tax in order to pay for advanced life support services?

The meeting will take place at the fire hall located 411 6th Street.

If passed, the fire department would be able to hire a 24/7 licensed paramedic position to the force.

Currently, and according to a social media post, the Borough of Ellwood City is accepting applications for the position of part-time Paramedic. According to the post, the rate will be $20.00/hr. Candidates will need to possess a current PA EMT-P License, a current ACLS card, CPR card, PALS and ITLS certification. The candidate must also have a current Skills Review Certificate. Any interested party may pick up an application at the Ellwood City Fire Department, 411 6 th Street Ellwood City, PA 16117. Applications are due at the Fire Department by 4:00 p.m. on October 12, 2022.
