Morgan Gruber is moving to Nashville!
But not before starring in one last show on Saturday, September 3, at Koehler Brewery, 130 Wampum Ave, Ellwood City—her Farewell Event.
Gruber, Fombell, was an American Idol season 20 contestant. The American Idol contestant was 13 when she started taking vocal technique lessons from local instructor Mary Ann Mangini. Before taking the American Idol audience by storm, she was singing locally at events such as It’s All About The Warrior functions at Shakespeare’s Restaurant in North Sewickley Township and also with the New Castle Playhouse Mini-Stars.
“I just want to thank everybody for supporting me and I’m gonna try to work my hardest to make my dream a reality and I couldn’t of done it without the support of everyone,” Morgan said.
On March 28, 2022, at the height of her American Idol success, Gruber posted on Facebook encouraging her followers to watch her upcoming performances, “I made it to the next round! If you thought this round was intense, you won’t believe #Duets! Tune in next Sunday and Monday to @AmericanIdol to see who makes it out of #HollywoodWeek and into the #Top24! Wish me luck!!”
Although Gruber was not crowned the winner of American Idol Season 20, she found a place in the hearts of many fans locally and nationally. When the twentieth season of the reality show singing competition premiered on February 27, 2022 on the ABC television network, Gruber left judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie awestruck with her performance.
The “Morgan Gruber Farewell Event” will also feature American Idol Christian Beck and local bands The Leftovers and Rover will play. Cost is $10 at the door. Proceeds will benefit Gruber and The Ellwood City Fireworks. Performances will begin at 4:30. Minors Under 21 must be accompanied by a Parent or Legal Guardian.
