Gerald Lee Cole, 82

Gerald Lee (Jerry) Cole, 82, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, after a long battle with COPD and cancer. He is survived by his wife, Linda. They were married for 61 years. He is also survived by his children, his daughter Tania (James) and grandson Rory, his daughter Shahna and his son Andrew (Kimberly A.) and grandchildren, Julianna, Patrick, and Kinley.
He was preceded by both sets of grandparents, his father William, his mother Alice Elizabeth and his brother, Larry. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Knehtel (Dongmei), nephew Joey, brother-in-law Michael Dubell (Barbara) and sister-in-law Donna Cole.
Jerry was an Army veteran (MP) before he married and started his career in retail. He had a long and successful career as an executive with Zayre Cooperation, Dart Drug and Service Star but his true career started when he retired and became an avid golfer. The things Jerry loved most were his wife’s blueberry buttermilk pancakes every Sunday morning, her beef stroganoff, Shahna’s pies, and golf. He belonged to Connoquenessing Country Club and the New Castle Country Club. He loved being with his golf buddies as much as possible. He also belonged to the Rotary, the VFW, American Legion, Saxon Club, the Elks, the Masons, and the Historical Society. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. No services will be held by his request. Arrangements entrusted to the TURNER FUNERAL HOME located at 6th and Park in Ellwood City.

    So sorry that we lost connection.you were a beautiful couple and we loved your children. He was “a man’s man” and I learned so much from him.
