David Jack Guy, 70, of South Beaver Township, (formerly of West Pittsburgh) passed away peacefully in his home Wednesday, August 24, 2022.
Born September 9, 1951 in New Castle, he was the son of the late David E. and Donna J. Mahon Guy Shaffer. He was married to Cathy (Gasper) Guy.
Dave retired from Cemex Cement after many years of employment. He had been active in ASA Umpiring, was president of the Taylor Township. Recreational Board, and was a Taylor Township Fire Chief.
Dave leaves behind his wife of 20 years Catherine (Gasper) Guy; son, Danny (Maria) Haynes of Ellwood City; daughter Stefanie (Jim) Capalbo of North Beaver Township; five grandchildren, Kyleigh Haynes, Blaise (Kaitlyn) Haynes, Branddon (Antoinetta) Hallowich, Jorrdyn (Alexis Thompson) Hallowich, and Erynne Capalbo; great granddaughter, Maddyson Hallowich; great grandson, Maverick Haynes; brother, Dennis (Elaine) Guy of Missouri; big “brother”; Gary Palmer of Union Township; in laws; Tom (Cheryl) Gasper, Colleen (Bob) Yanssens, and Michele (Will Schaffer) Gasper, along with his beloved dog Charlee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Aaron D. Guy on April 24, 2004 and brother in law Jerry Gasper.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday August 27, 2022 from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street, Wampum.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Dave’s name to the donor’s favorite charity.
