Melva J. Nagel, 87, of Franklin Township, passed away at Northview Estates on Monday, August 15, 2022.
Born in Ellwood City on February 13, 1935, Melva was the daughter of the late Willard and Delores Cunning Crowl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore W. Nagel, on May 6, 2015. They were married on March 2, 1953. Melva was a graduate of CCBC and worked as a LPN at both Blair Nursing Home in Beaver Falls and Passavant Health Center in Zelienople. She enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens, baking and cooking and her humming birds. Melva liked going to the casino and playing bingo. But most of all, she enjoyed the time she spent with her family.
Melva is survived by her 3 children, Sandra Hall of Ellwood City, Ronald and Liticia Nagel of New Castle and Theodore Nagel, Jr. of Ellwood City, a grandson, James Hall, Jr., 3 step granddaughters, Dena Perkins, Heather Yohe and Shannon and Dean VanDevort, 4 step great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Virginia McQuiston of Ellwood City, Shirley and Chuck Cox and Linda and Charles Newton both of Beaver Falls, 2 brothers, Dennis and Kathy Crowl of Enon Valley and David and Darla Crowl of Princeton and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Melva was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Raymond and Billy Crowl and a sister, Lorena Singloub.
Melva will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with her husband.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory.
