David Carl Tammaro, 69

David Carl Tammaro, 69, of Waynesboro, went home to be with the Lord on Friday July 8, 2022.

He was born on August 5, 1952, in Ellwood City, PA, to the late Phillip Anthony Tammaro, SR, and Mary Pishioneri Tammaro. David faithfully served as a member of the US Army from 1972 until 1974. He moved from Pennsylvania to Waynesboro in 1987, and retired from Southern Company as a Security Instructor in August of 2016. David was very generous in his support of various organizations such as Wounded Warrior Project and the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a huge fan of the Beatles, Atlanta Braves, Pittsburg Steelers, and Nascar. David was a loving husband, father, and brother.

Surviving is his wife, Lisa Hamilton Tammaro of Waynesboro; two sons, Robert James Tammaro and Brandon Sean Hamilton both of Waynesboro; and three brothers, Jimmy Tammaro (Jackie), Vincent Tammaro both of Ellwood City, PA, and Phillip Tammaro, JR, (Sharyn) of Southington, OH.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 11:00AM in the chapel of DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in the Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
