The Juried Art Show is pleased to return to the 2022 Ellwood City Festival.
Visitors to the Ellwood City Festival are invited to view this year’s Juried Art Show at Trefoil Lodge during all three days of the festival – Saturday through Monday, July 2-4, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Artists interested in participating had the opportunity to drop off their work on Saturday and Sunday, June 25-26, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work was dropped off at Trefoil Lodge in Ewing Park and received by Festival Juried Art Show Chair Irina Trenga.
Judging was conducted by Alyson Sprague on Tuesday, June 26. Winners of the 2022 Festival Juried Art Show are as follows:

While you are there, please enter your Community Choice ballot (available at the Lodge) for YOUR personal favorite! The Community Choice Award will be announced on the Folino Entertainment Stage on Monday, July 4, at 7:30 pm.
Judge for the 2022 Juried Art Show is Alyson Sprague. Spike (as she is called), is a lifelong artist. She is the third generation of artists and art teachers on her mother’s side of the family. She has been creating art and entering shows most of her life, alongside her grandmother, mother and sister. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon in ceramics and sculpture with a minor in art history and color theory. She achieved a Master’s degree in art education from Edinboro University.
Alyson has been the high school fine arts teacher for Riverside Beaver County School District for the past 17 years. She also teaches knitting at the Darn Yarn Needle and Thread in Harmony, PA. She has been published in Art Doll Magazine for her soft sculpture creations. She has been exhibited in shows at the Pittsburgh Center of the Arts, Three River Native American Festival, the Hoyt and North Hills Art Center, where she was the director for several years.
Alyson is currently working as the high school teacher for Riverside and has also started a home ceramic business where she creates slip cast Halloween and Winter holiday decorations.
