Doris M. Wallis, 97

Doris M. Wallis, 97, of Slippery Rock Township passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at her residence.

Born February 16, 1925 in Zelienople, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Domhoff Ebert. She was married to Robert G. Wallis for 61 years when he passed on July 7, 2008.

Doris had graduated from Zelienople High School in 1943. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was the president of the PTA in Laurel for many years and was a Boy Scout Leader in the 1960’s. She loved to can, sew, garden, read, and travel.

Survivors include three sons, David (Angela) of Lancing, TN, Bruce (Taffie) of Wooster, OH, and Kurt (Kim) Wallis of Windfield, MO; two daughters, Joanne Crowther of Ellwood City and Joyce Gandee of Supply, NC; five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and two sons in law, Al and Charley.

Per her request no viewing will be held. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Doris.

    David, Bruce, Joanne, Joyce and Kurt. I am so sorry to hear the passing of your mom. I have so many fond memories of her and the time I spent at your farm. They were special memories. I will keep you all in my prayers during is difficult time. Love Elaine (Snare)Cuddy.
