Jean J. Kingston, 85, of Shenango Twp. passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital following a lingering illness.
Born December 17, 1936 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late John P and Nellie (Henry) Hobrat . She was married to Mervin Kingston who passed away in 2000.
Jean enjoyed bowling and bird watching. She was affiliated with the Civilian Conservation Corps and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Jean’s most cherished time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Lori (Art) Pistachio of New Castle; son, John (Tracey) Kingston of Laurel; five grandchildren, Dan, Ryan (Ashley), Tiffany (Eric), John Jr. (Sunny), and Kristin; and three great grandchildren Eric Jr, Tate, and Mayla.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Pistachio, and three brothers, Bob, Tom, and Jack Hobrat, and a dear friend, Roma Wallace.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday May 11, 2022 from 5 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home. 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Rev. Bruce Gardner of the Berean Presbyterian Church will officiate.
