The Ellwood City Wolverines track and field teams earned victories over Union Area this past weekend at Union.
For the boys, in its 105-44 victory, Brennen Marsh (200m) 26.1., Anthony Spadafore (400m) 59.5., Marley Schwiger (800m) 2:11.5., Nolan Currain (1600m) 5:30.1., and Kaiden Schlicenrull (3200m) 12:20.8. earned first place finishes for Ellwood City.
Brayden Hendrickson collected individual first place finishes in the 100 hurdles (18.9) and 300 hurdles (50.0) to help the Wolverines.
Ellwood City earned team victories in the 1600 relay (Schweiger, Curran, Brooks, Spadafore; 3:59.3.) and 3200 relay (Crizer, Wise, Schlitckroll, Spadafore; 9:53.5.)
In the field events, Brajan Streit (Javelin, 120-9), Marley Schweiger (High Jump, 5-11), and Nathan Williams (Long Jump, 17-8) collected individual first place finishes.
For the girls, in its 106-30 over the Scotties, Brianna Sullivan earned three first place finishes (100m, 200m, 100 hurdles) while Gabby Elisperman earned two first place finishes (800m and 1600m) on the track while Madison Myers took home two first place finishes (Long Jump and Triple Jump) in the field.
Annabelle Woodhead took 3rd in Discus and Javelin to fill in for Gianna DeCerbo who was competing in academic related games according to head coach Nathan Brown.
The Ellwood City relays teams swept their three events, 400 relay (Squiequero, Shaeffer, Woodhead, Sullivan; 1:00.5.), 1600 relay (Myers, Squiequero, Custer, Woodhead; 5:54.1.), and 3200 relay (Ellsperman, Squiequero, Custer, Hervatine; 12:54.6.)
