The Ellwood Area Egg Hunt Committee will be holding their 27th community Easter Egg hunt this Saturday April 9th. The event is starting at 11:00 a.m. in Ewing Park, Ellwood City, PA for all area children ages 10 and under.
The 4 and under hunts will have a walk through hunt starting at 11 and running through the days events.
5 to 10 hunt will start at 12:00 and run consecutive in the following order.
- 1st hunt) 5-6-7 girls,only
- 2nd. hunt) 5-6-7 boys only
- 3rd hunt) 8-9-10 girls only
- 4th. hunt ) 8-9-10 boys only
There will be a special needs hunt that will take place and will be the last hunt of the day. ONLY special need children are permitted in this hunt. We ask for Special Need children ONLY to preregister at: ellwoodeasteregghunt@gmail.com we ask for the preregistration for this group so that we can accommodate the children needs..and once again no other children will be permitted in this hunt.
All children will receive candy and treats at the end of each of their hunts…15,000 eggs…..25 Golden Eggs, 11 stuffed Easter Backpacks and 20 super size stuffed eggs will be up for grabs with lots of other prizes.
Additional events taking place beside the Easter Egg hunts include a Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Trackless train, and the Rotary Shelter will be the kid’s zone,which will feature crafts, face painting, games and various other activities in the Bocce Court will be games. Some of the events will have a small fee.
There will be a very special princess meet n greet, children are encourage to wear their princess dresses, The guess of Honor: Floppy The Easter Bunny will be on hand handing out candy to the children…Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be on hand along with Skye and Chase from Paw Patrol, a Balloon artist will be on hand. There will be a Chinese Auction to benefit the 28th community Easter Egg hunt. A Kitchen will be sponsored by Riverside Marching Band and Pappy Rick will be on hand with his Kettle Corn. Lawrence County Swat vehicle will be on hand along with a Monster Truck.
