Lester J. Miller, 83

TITUSVILLE, FL – Lester J Miller, 83, of Titusville, Florida, passed away on March 6, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with many health issues.

He was born in Ellwood City on January 26, 1939, to the late Earl and Georgia (Himes) Miller. His mother passed when he was a young boy and he was raised by his father and his loving aunt/stepmother, the late Zella (Himes) Miller.

He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Carol Lee (Laurain) Miller. They were married on March 26, 1960 and would have celebrated their 62nd anniversary this month. Their three children and their spouses are left to mourn his passing: Leslie and James Pacer of Webster, NY; Kenneth and Lisa (Gorman) Miller of Indianapolis, IN, and Andrew Miller and Olivier Gigaud of Wiesbaden, Germany. Les also leaves his beloved grandchildren: Valerie (Pacer) and her husband, Joshua Moles of Falls Church, VA; Matthew Pacer and his fiancé, Kendra Walton of Granbury, TX.

He is survived by his siblings: Dave Miller, Ann Shaw, Don Miller, Jerry Miller, and their families. Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Kathleen Miller and Georgia Miller and his sister-in-law, Carol (Adams) Miller.

He was a machinist by trade and was employed by B & W and later, Herr Voss. He was also a skilled woodworker, leaving many cherished pieces of furniture for his family. After retirement, he and Carol left Ellwood City for Florida, where they could enjoy the sunshine. Les was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast and spent countless hours on his motorcycle(s) until his seventies. He was a longtime member of the Western PA Retreads and a lifetime member of the American Motorcyclist Association. It was always the ride more than the destination that made him happy.

Arrangements have been made with Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, 2400 S. Washington Avenue, Titusville, FL. Per Lester’s wishes, there will be no services. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Ellwood City Library in his name, Lester J Miller.
