Mrs. Shirley V. “Ma” Follett, 83, of North Sewickley Twp. passed away on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Mrs. Follett was born in Prosperity, PA on November 11th, 1938 to the late Rex and Stella (Cook) Murray. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1957. Until establishing her family, Shirley worked at the G.C. Murphy 5 & 10, True Value Hardware, and Hinkle’s Market, then as a homemaker. She is a member of the Lillyville Church of God located in Franklin Twp.. She enjoyed reading and watching Game Shows.
She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly (Burlin) Long of Rochester, Kristine (Pastor John) Dodds of Mansfield, OH, and Rebekah (Chad) Dwyer of North Sewickley Twp., son, Timothy Follett of Franklin Twp., grandchildren, Lisa (Bill) Meyers, Kimberly (Brian) Seeger, Joanie (Chris) Sprague, Jennifer Dodds, Amanda Radaker, Erin (Kyle) Sederkins, Grayson Dwyer, and Garrett Dwyer, great-grandchildren, Riley Meyers, Max Meyers, Paige (Jesse) Valentino, Annabeth Seeger, Elle Curcio, Violet Berezniak, Olive Berezniak, Landon Sederkins, and Brayden Sederkins. She is also survived by her sisters, Sue Buchanan of Castlewood, Rexine (Eugene) Ruby of Rochester, Dorothy Husenonica of Ellwood City, Betty Young of Florida, and Martha Kettler of Wampum, brothers, Ted (Lorraine) Murray of Darlington and Scott (Karen) Murray of New Castle, and her extended family, Ron and Jessie Dwyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ronald L. Follett whom she married on February 21st, 1958 and passed away on March 30th, 2021, granddaughter, Bailey Dwyer, sisters, Ellen Jane Crawford and Bertha Urnick, and brother, Leonard “Bud” Cook.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 1-3 pm and 5 pm until the time of the service at 7 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Pastor Dennis Arndt officiating. Interment will be at the Lillyville Church of God Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Mrs. Follett’s name may be made to the Ellwood City Area Public Library.
