Robert C. Leonhardt, 72, of Wampum passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer.
Born February 26, 1949 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Clair and Laura (Glasser) Leonhardt.
Bob retired from Cemex/Medusa after 37 years working as a repairman in the Maintenance Dept. In his earlier years he was a truck driver. Bob graduated from Laurel High School in 1967. He enjoyed farming and had the ability to fix most anything. Bob spent his summers at his camp along the Allegheny River, where you would find him in the water or on his boat. He and Barb enjoyed several trips across the country riding on their Honda Gold Wing Motorcycle. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his family and all who loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Barbara Leight Leonhardt; daughter, Julie (Todd) Radzyminski and son James Leonhardt, all of Wampum; and a sister Janet Morris of Oklahoma. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jordan and Brayden Radzyminski, who were the light of his life. He loved attending all of their sporting events
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Leonhardt .
Visiting hours will be held Saturday February 5 from 3 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Rev. Dave Keppen of the Wampum Methodist Church will officiate.
Final interment will take place in Clinton Cemetery.
