Mrs. Denine L. Rough, 72, of North Sewickley Township passed away on Saturday, January 29th, 2022 at her residence.
Mrs. Rough was born in Ellwood City on February 28th, 1949 to the late Jerome and Elnora “Peggy” (Woods) Jinar. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1967. Following high school Denine served with the United States Navy. She had worked at the McGuire Memorial Home as a nurses aid and later as a teachers aid at the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit. She is a member of the St. Elias Romanian Orthodox Church. Denine also belonged to the Ellwood City Ladies Saxon Branch 32, and served as president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed ceramics, bowling, traveling to Myrtle Beach, and most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Harry Rough whom she married on September 16th, 1972, daughter, Ashley (Mark) Jakubowski of Franklin Twp., sons, Eric (Renee) Rough of Shenango Twp. and Dan (Malory) Rough of New Brighton, grandchildren, Brian Raybuck, Miranda (Jordan) Streckeisen, Madison Jakubowski, and Meadow Rough, great-grandchildren, Everett and Everleigh Streckeisen, sister, Docia (Keith) Jacobs of North Sewickley Twp., and brother, Rory (Donna) Jinar of Virginia Beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Tamra Rough, and grandson, Jonas James Rough.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3 pm until the time of the service at 6 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Rev. Father Wayne P. Wright officiating. Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at the funeral home on Tuesday by 5:50 pm to conduct full military honors.
Memorial contributions in Mrs. Rough’s name may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
