Walter “Jim” Horton, 90

Walter “Jim” Horton, 90, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at his home. He was the son of the late Merrill and Delphine (Hartzell) Horton and was born February 22, 1931, in Youngstown, OH.

He is survived by his wife, of 54 years Nancy (Miller) Horton; one son; Terrence “T” Horton and his wife Shelley of Ellwood City, his grandchildren; Tyler Horton of Ellwood City and Abigail Horton of Wampum; and one great-granddaughter, Ava Morella.

He was a graduate of Lincoln High School. He met and married the love of his life Nancy Miller, in 1967 and they were married 54 years. He had a variety of jobs including working for B&W, the Butler Auto Auction and he was also a licensed beautician. Jim enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, hunting and spending time with his family.

He was 52-year member of the Ellwood-Parian Lodge No. 599 F.&AM. and a member of the Valley of New Castle Consistory and was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 3:00pm-7:00pm with a Masonic Service to be held at 6:30pm, at Turner Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, at 11:00am at Turner’s, with Rev. Ronald Schaeffer, officiating.

Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester.

Arrangements entrusted to the TURNER FUNERAL HOME located at 6th and Park in Ellwood City.
