Albert R. Leopardi, 83, of Franklin Township, passed away at Butler Memorial Hospital on Monday, December 27, 2021.
Born in Ellwood City on October 4, 1938, Albert was the son of the late Albert and Thressa Ritorto Leopardi. Albert is survived by his wife, the former Linda Fabian, whom he married on February 19, 1994. He had worked as a machinist at American Steel and later retired from the Ellwood City Forge. After his retirement, he worked at Trader Horn. Albert was a Veteran of the Navy serving on the USS Wasp. While on the USS Wasp he visited both the Arctic Circle and the Equator. Albert enjoyed hunting, fishing and making fishing lures with his son, Todd.
Besides his wife, Linda Leopardi, Albert is survived by his 2 sons, Todd and Lauri Leopardi of Ellwood City and Shawn and Heather Leopardi of Aliquippa, 3 step-children, Tom and Sherri Lockrouit of Morrisdale, PA, Dorinda and Bill Roberts of Chippewa and Dorine and Dave Peffer of Ellwood City, grandchildren, Shayla Leopardi (Duane), Joey Leopardi, Enzo and Gia Leopardi, Kyle and Kali Lockrouit, Keria and Tyler German, Billy and Olivia Roberts, Chelsey and James Paff and David and Morgan Peffer and 6 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Albert was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Leopardi and his step-father, Billy Joe Rutter.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory.
