Michael J. “Mike” Evanick, 67, of Ellwood City, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 AHN Wexford Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Born on July 29, 1954 in McKees Rocks, PA, Mike was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Palulas Evanick. A graduate of Sto-Rox High School, Mike grew up attending St. Cyril & Methodius Church. Mike was a loving father, a devoted husband and a friend to many. He could often be found listening to the classics like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Bing Crosby. Fun-loving and always one to make people laugh and smile, Mike’s hobbies included golfing, camping and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 16 years.
Mike is survived by his wife of 21 years, Mary Beth (Main) Evanick, his three sons, Gregory Lutz and fiancée Rachel Minett of Ellwood City, Sean Evanick and wife, Angela Renninger of Anchorage, AK and Alex Evanick of Ellwood City, four grandchildren, Jaxon, Darian, Lexi and Elizabeth and a brother, Robert J. (Theresa) Evanick of Fernandina Beach, FL.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Evanick.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 23rd from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.
