According to information made available by superintendent Bret Trotta and information made available on the school district website, Riverside Beaver County School District has issued a COVID-19 Isolation Procedure Update.
In a statement made available by Trotta, he advises the district held a school board meeting to revisit our Health and Safety Plan on Friday.
Mask will remain optional; however, we highly recommend using face-coverings. In addition, the district has revised the isolation protocol and will implement a Mask to Stay / Test to Stay concept.
“We trust this plan will allow us to maintain in-person learning while maintaining the health and safety of our students and staff,” said Trotta in a statement.
Below is a message posted on the district website, offering the revised Health and Safety Plan, and the Mask to Stay / Test to Play procedures. The district asks to reach out to the building principal or Trotta if anyone has any specific questions or concerns.
“I appreciate your continued flexibility and understanding as we navigate our District through the COVID-19 pandemic,” concludes Trotta.
COVID-19 Isolation Procedure Update per district website:
Effective Monday, December 20, 2021, the RBCSD will follow the “Mask to Stay, Test to Play” procedures. The adoption of this procedure ensures that the health and safety of all students and employees is a priority, and in-person learning and extracurricular activities continue with minimal disruption. We have experienced success with all community members utilizing the Health and Safety Checklist, and it is appreciated that families keep sick children at home. Moving forward, we will continue to monitor all situations; and while masking is optional, we highly encourage the use of face coverings inside the buildings. Parents and students are reminded that the TSA has continued to require the use of masks on all public transportation. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding throughout this time in education.
