William L. Cooper, 69

William L. Cooper, 69, of North Beaver Township passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 18, 2021 at his residence.

Born January 4, 1952 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Willis A. and Rosemary A. Murphey Cooper. He was married to Jackie Rae Patterson Cooper for 48 years.

Bill grew up farming with his grandparents on the family farm. He graduated from Vo-Tech in 1971 where he studied carpentry. Bill was retired from General Electric after nearly 40 years of service as a Diesel Locomotive Engineer. Bill enjoyed helping people, doing mechanic work, mowing, and snow plowing for friends and family. He also enjoyed kayaking, hiking, gardening, and riding the Razor.

Survivors include his wife Jackie; son, Josh Cooper of Bessemer; brother, Rusty (Lisa) Cooper of New Galilee; sister, Cindy Byers of Wampum and four grandchildren, Braydin, Heaven, Hunter, and Ella Jane Cooper all of Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his son Jason, his brother James, and two sisters Patty Cooper Nepper and Nora Elizabeth in infancy.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday November 22, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main St. Wampum.

Friends and family will also be received on Tuesday November 23, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Pastor Gene Brown will officiate.

Interment will follow in Bethel Church Cemetery.
