Andrew Woloszyn, 80, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, November 18th, 2021 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Andrew was born on July 15th, 1941 in Chewton to the late Julian and Mary (Ostrowski) Woloszyn. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1960, Penn State with a degree in Law Enforcement and Corrections, and the Pennsylvania State Police Academy. He was a part-time police officer for Wayne Township and a member of Holy Redeemer Church. Andrew also worked for Universal Rundal, Babcock and Wilcox Steel Mill, drove truck for PGT trucking, and at CD Ambrosia Trucking Company and West Penn Aggregates as a supervisor. Andrew was a kind and generous man who made many sacrifices for his family. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Dianna (Cruciani) Woloszyn whom he married on July 18th, 1964, his daughters, Cathy Wiley of Ellwood City and Andrea (Lance) McKelvey of Wampum, his three grandchildren, Nathaniel, Mauria, and Zachary Wiley, his brother, Anthony (Karen) Woloszyn of Chewton, his sister, Julia (Leon) Johnson of State College, his sister-in-laws, Rita Woloszyn of Chewton, Santina Cucunato of Ellwood City and Joan Goins of Fredericksburg, VA, many nieces and nephews, and his special buddy, Sid.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Margie Civitillo, his brothers, Martin and Henry Woloszyn, and his brother-in-law, Joseph Civitillo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021 at the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Mark Thomas Officiating. Interment will be at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
Memorial contributions in Andrew’s name may be made out the Holy Redeemer Social Services or the Ellwood City Area Public Library.
