Claire E. Jones, 52, of Perry Township, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at UPMC Jameson surrounded by his loving family from complications of COVID pneumonia.
Born in Ellwood City on November 19, 1968, Claire was the son of Devona French of Ellwood City and the late David E. Jones. Claire is survived by his wife, Deanna Shaffer, whom he married on September 18, 2004. Claire had worked for over 30 years at Adams Manufacturing. He enjoyed spending time in his 1950 F1 Ford truck and on his Harley-Davidson. Claire was a devoted father and grandfather, he loved helping his friends and neighbors. He was always ready and willing to lend a hand.
Besides his wife Deanna, and his mother, Claire is survived by a daughter, Miranda Jones and her fiancé, Greg Werling of Prospect, 3 step-daughters, Kimberly Shaffer of Portersville, Heather (Greg) Hutchins and Christina (James) Shaffer-Reid both of West Pittsburg, a sister, April (Ed) Lutz of Ellwood City and 8 grandchildren, Mason Jones, Aubrey Palmer, Savannah and Colton Fair, Roxanne & Lucas Frampton, Samuel Shaffer-Reid and Canyon Hutchins.
Preceding Claire in death was his father and a brother, David L. Jones.
Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Thursday, November 18 from 5 to 8 PM. A Funeral Service will follow at 8 PM with Pastor Elizabeth Wallace.
