Carl F. Agostinelli, 93

Mr. Carl F. Agostinelli, 93, of Ellwood City passed away on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Agostinelli was a life long resident of Ellwood City, born on March 17th, 1928 to the late Carlo Nunzio and Yolanda (Angelilli) Agostinelli. He had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1947, and later from the New Castle Business School. He enlisted with the U.S. Army on December 15th, 1950 and served in Germany with the 7774th Signal Battalion until his honorable discharge on October 23rd, 1956. Following his service with the Army, Carl was an Ellwood City business entrepreneur, he owned and operated Econo Wash, and owned and rented many Ellwood City properties which became thriving businesses. He was a charter member of the Ellwood City Wolves Club Den #2, and for many years served as the Ellwood City Wolves Club Chairman for the Annual Ellwood Arts, Crafts, and Food Festival. He was also a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish, the Special Activities Group, Sons of Italy #608, and a Life Time Member of the Ellwood City MOOSE Lodge #93. Carl enjoyed wine making and the stock market.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 71 years Colleen (Ketterer) Agostinelli whom he married on June 17, 1950, daughters, Carla Sabatino of Ellwood City, Caryn (Bernie) Rubrecht of Tampa Bay, FL, Cara Forbeck of Monroeville, and Carol (Rob) Bachman of Long Island, NY, son, Curt (Michelle) Agostinelli of Perry Twp., daughter-in-law, Debbie Agostinelli, grandchildren, Barry (Amy) Agostinelli, Cari (John) Marker, Jill (Clayton) Jefferson, Laura (Matt) Agostinelli, Denny Sabatino, Maggie (Prescott) Scaffe, Carly Rubrecht, Lili Rubrecht, Carlo, Anthony, and Maura Agostinelli, Nicholas and Joseph Bachman, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Raymond (Rose) Agostinelli and Edward (Linda) Agostinelli both of State College, sister, Louise Lordi of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Carl S. Agostinelli,  grandson, Michael Sabatino, and brother, Albert A. Agostinelli, Sr..

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 pm and on Saturday from 10;00 am until the time of the Blessing Service at 11:00 am at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Deacon Jeffrey Ludwikowski officiating. Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, St. Peter’s Mausoleum. Members of the Ellwood City Wolves Club are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday by 7:40 pm to conduct a service at 7:45pm and members of the Special Activities Group are also asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday by 7:40 pm to conduct a service at 7:50 pm. Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday by 11:00 am to conduct full military honors following the Blessing Service.

Memorial contributions in Mr. Agostinelli’s name may be made to the Ellwood City Wolves Club Scholarship Fund, or to Club Hope.
