Olga G. Sawor, 93

Mrs. Olga G. Sawor, 93, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the Northview Estates.

Mrs. Sawor was born in Ellwood City on December 3, 1927 to the late Raymond and Nellie (Cavalier) DiFalco. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1946. Olga is also a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers. She had worked at the 5 & 10 store, McKelvey’s Appliances, Aetna Standard Engineering, Ellwood City Knitting Mill, Morini’s Market, and Newman’s Pharmacy. Olga volunteered as a TV Hostess for the Ellwood City Hospital, Red Cross Blood Bank, and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed gardening, music, and playing the piano and organ.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Cheryl) Sawor Jr. of Pittsburgh and Gary R. (Hannah) Sawor of Mercer, grandchildren, Steven, Erin, Kristie Lynn, and Kimberly Ann Sawor, sisters, Stella Santillo and Edith Kraves both of Ellwood City, her dear neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Minteer, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Stephen Sawor Sr. whom she married on May 13, 1950 and passed away on August 4, 1991, and brother, Victor E. Morris.

As per Olga’s wishes there will not be a public service. Final arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.
