Mrs. Vittoria Simeoni, 85, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on October 1st, 2021 at Jameson Hospital.
Vittoria was born on May 28th, 1936 in Baia e Latina, Italy, to the late Stefano and Maria (Paglia) Perrotta. She was trained as a seamstress in Naples, Italy. Vittoria came to the United States on May 20th, 1970 to start a new life with her family. She worked at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill until its closing, and then for 22 years at Fotia Brothers, as a seamstress, until her retirement. In her retirement, she made clothing alterations privately from her home for many customers who became lifelong friends. Vittoria loved cooking, gardening, reading, and spending cherished time with her family. She was known for her generosity, selflessness, and loving heart. She is a member of the Holy Redeemer Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Adele Tomasello of Ellwood City, her son, Mario (Carmie) Simeoni of Ellwood City, her grandchildren, Marisa and Dominic Tomasello, Lino (Caitlin) Simeoni, Steven (Lindsey) Simeoni, Victoria (Jeremy) Honsaker, and Gabriella (Chris Weisz) Simeoni, and her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Roman, Alaina, Myla, Easton, Savannah, Sullivan, Gavyn, Greyson, and Geno.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lino Simeoni, whom she married in 1957, and passed away in 1981; her son-in-law, Michael J. Tomasello; her sisters, Antonietta D’Aniello and Maria DiBuono, and her brother, Augusto Perrotta.
Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 at 10:00 A.M., at Holy Redeemer Church. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery.
