Congratulations are in order for the 2021 Ellwood City Homecoming Queens, Alyssa Jeffcoat and Kyla Servick, and the Homecoming King, Alexander Roth.
All parties were recognized during the Friday evening football game at Helling Stadium as part of Homecoming festivities. The host Wolverines were defeated by Neshannock 58-14. The game can be replayed on the EC Wolverines YouTube.com Page
The visiting Lancers (5-1 overall) raced out to an early and comfortable 39-0 halftime lead before Ellwood City could get on the scoreboard. Elijah Palmer-McCane and Nick Magnifico scampered for rushing touchdowns for the two Wolverine scores in the second half. Zach Gatto led all rushers with 96 yards, but the Wolverines had four turnovers and committed two safeties in the contest.
Last week the homecoming courts were announced the Ellwood City School District.
OF NOTE: Mohawk’s J.C. Voss and Marc Conti connected on four touchdowns as Mohawk (4-2 overall) defeated the Riverside Panthers 37-0 Friday evening.
