Mr. David M. DeCampli, 63, of Perry Township, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the UPMC Shadyside Hospital following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
David was born in Ellwood City on April 4, 1958 to the late Nick and Laureen (Klear) DeCampli. He had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1976. He is also a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish. For 40 years, David worked for John Brown Trucking as a terminal manager. Dave was a Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed antiques, and a World War II history buff. Most of all, Dave loved being with his family and numerous friends.
He is survived by his sons, John DeCampli and Derek DeCampli both of Ellport, his girlfriend, Celeste (Perrotta) Boehm of New Brighton, sisters, Linda Obetts of Annadale, VA, Adele Cirkelis of San Francisco, CA, and Diane McCarty of Fort Myers, FL., uncle, Lee “Bud” Steffler of Franklin Twp., two nieces and six nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Domenick William “Billy” DeCampli.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at Noon at the Holy Redeemer Church with Father David Egan officiating. Interment will be at the Wurtemburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in David’s name may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
