Mr. Paul “Dodds” Johnson Sr., 83, Of Ellwood City passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Mr. Johnson was born in Pittsburgh on April 20, 1938 to the late Thomas and Josephine (Fowler) Johnson, and was an Elementary School teacher, Auctioneer, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Best Friend.
He grew up in Zelienople, went to college in Edinboro (his favorite days) then to his farm in Fombell, PA where he raised his children.
He loved music and could sing like an angel. His smile would light up the room and his hugs were the absolute BEST.
He is survived by 6 of his children: Gailyn (Mark) Matscherz of Zelienople, PA, Alison (Jeff) Scott of Ellwood City, PA , Erin Roman of Sherman, NY , DJ (Elizabeth) Johnson of Shartlesville, PA, Lauran (Tim) Houk of New Castle, PA, and Dan (Nichole) Johnson of Sherman, NY, 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his children Shawn Johnson and Lacy Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm at the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Phil Farrell officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Gregory Cemetery in Zelienople.
