Kenneth M. “Skip” Brenner, Jr., 77, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at UPMC Jameson.
Born in Ellwood City on June 1, 1944, Skip was the son of the late Kenneth and Kass Stanford Brenner. He drove truck and he also ran the Agway on Zelienople Road. A Veteran of the US Air Force, Skip served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 157 and a former member of Mountville Presbyterian Church. He could usually be found tinkering in his garage and he loved to ride motorcycles. Skip also enjoyed his weekly meeting of the R.O.M.E.O. (Retired Old Men Eating Out) Club every Saturday at McDonald’s.
Skip is survived by his wife of 27 years, Christine Zikeli Brenner, three sons: Mark (Stacey) Brenner of Ellwood City, Kenny (Melanie) Brenner of Rosemont, MN and Tom (Livia) Brenner of Mertztown, PA, a brother, Bruce (Judy) Brenner of New Castle, PA, a sister, Debbie Lehman of Broken Arrow, OK, a brother-in-law, Bill Magill, Jr., eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Skip was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Magill and a brother-in-law, Wayne Lehman.
Friends will be received on Saturday, August 28th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 PM with Pastor Elizabeth Wallace, celebrant.
