Mr. Anthony R. Oliastro, Sr., “Dick” went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2021. He passed unexpectedly at home.
He was born in Ellwood City in 1939 to the late Rose F. (Cusato) Oliastro and Anthony Oliastro. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1958
Dick started A.R. Oliastro, Inc. in 1955 with a 1947 White 5-ton dump truck and a OC3 Oliver Hi Lift. He has grown that into a strong family owned construction company with deep local roots. If you live In Ellwood, Chances are he dug your basement or paved your driveway.
Dick was very dedicated to the Lord and his church life. He was soft spoken, big hearted man that would lend help to anybody that needed it. He supported many local charities, including building shelters and donating supplies to many needing organizations. He had a great sense of humor and a great love for his Country
Dick was a very loving and devoted to all his family, including children, Lisa, Tony, and Kerry and especially his grandchildren, Ashley, Gunnar, Madden , Autocar, and Brockway. He loved watching their sports and enjoyed their hobbies. Dick also loved playing with all of his Granddogs.
Dick loved going camping with his family, cookouts at his house, truck shows, Pittsburgh sports, and car shows. He loved anything to do with Machinery and Trucks. He also loved watching Westerns.
He is survived by his brothers, David (Saya) Oliastro, Daniel (Linda) Oliastro. Also by his children, Lisa “Liz” Oliastro, Anthony (Wendy) Oliastro, Jr., and Kerry (Paul) Boehm. His grandchildren, Ashley , Gunnar, and Madden Boehm, Autocar and Brockway Oliastro. He is survived also by his girlfriend and best friend Donna Creese.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. and on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am at the Word Alive Church. Internment will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
