Matthew W. Ferrante, 59, of Ellwood City, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Edison Manor following a year long battle with ALS.
Born August 13, 1961 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary Lou Lembo Ferrante.
Matt was a graduate of Lincoln High School and worked as a landscaper. He enjoyed reading.
Survivors include longtime girlfriend, Paige Yarzebinski and her two sons Chucky and Ryan; two sisters, Valarie Viccari of Ellwood City, Lu Ann (Jeff) Myers of New Kensington; two brothers, Nicholas (Linda Guthrie) Ferrante of West Pittsburg and Anthony (Stacey Ierino) Ferrante of Ellwood City; two nephews and five nieces.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Reyna Lee Ferrante.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday August 16, 2021 at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Avenue, Ellwood City from 1:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 pm with his brother in law Jeff Myers officiating.
Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
