Carol A. “Flicka” Colaberardino, 80, of Ellwood City, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Heritage Valley Beaver after a 10 year battle with multiple myeloma.
Born in Ellwood City on December 18, 1940, Flicka was the daughter of the late Frank “Grundy” and Stella DeVinney Volpe. She married Thomas “Dino” Colaberardino on November 20, 1965. Flicka retired from Calgon in 1995 where she worked as a traffic supervisor. A member of Holy Redeemer Church, Flicka enjoyed gardening.
Flicka is survived by her husband, Tom “Dino” Colaberardino, her son, Tom (Jackie) Colaberardino, Jr. of Cleveland, OH, a grandson, Ben Smith and two sisters, Louise Vitullo and Marlene “Pudue” LaCava, both of Ellwood City.
In addition to her parents, Flicka was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Tyler and Ralph “Doc” Volpe and two sisters, Clara Turco and Ralphetta Majors.
Friends will be received on Sunday, August 8th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.
A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 9th at 11:00 AM with Fr. Chris Davis. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made in Flicka’s name to Club Hope Foundation, 113 Collins Rd., Ellwood City, PA 16117. Her family would like to thank Dr. Ferri, his nurse Natalie and their staff at the Hillman Cancer Center Beaver for their compassionate care.
