Raymond C. Witherow, 94

Raymond C. Witherow, 94 of Northview Estates passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 at his residence.

Born in Ellwood City on August 16, 1926, Raymond was the son of the late Clair and Lillian Cotherman Witherow.  He is survived by his wife, Elvie “Jeannette” Garmon whom he married on July 4, 1947.  Raymond was a WWII Air Force Veteran.  He retired from Billco Manufacturing, Inc. in Zelienople where he was a buyer.  Raymond attended Lillyville Church of God.  He enjoyed acrylic painting and was a member and past master of the Ellwood City Masonic Lodge and a member of the New Castle Consistory and the choir.

Besides his wife, Raymond is also survived by his son, Robert R. (Paula) Witherow of North Sewickley Township, his granddaughters, Christie Lynn (Dave Brown) Butkowski of Ellwood City, Heather (Ryan McUmber) Witherow of Pittsburgh, and three great-granddaughters, Kaylie Bukowski, Alexandra Bukowski and Kennedy Brown.

Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Ave. Ellport, on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 6PM until the time of the service at 8PM with Pastor Dennis Arndt of Lillyville Church of God officiating.

Inurnment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

    Bobby I was so sorry to hear if your dad’s passing. We had a lot of great times together. He was the one who took me fishing for the first time. Precious memories. Denny Shannon
