Mrs. Regina (Pecoraro) Santamaria, 62, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Regina was born in New Castle on September 28, 1958 to the late Elio and Amalia A. (Parente) Pecoraro. She had graduated from Lincoln High School and the St. Francis School of Nursing in New Castle as a Registered Nurse. For many years she worked as a registered nurse and in 2018 became the owner and operator of Peace of Mind Sarasota Home Watch. She is a member of the St. Martha Catholic Church in Sarasota. Regina enjoyed family, cooking, gardening, and rock music. She will be remembered as the most amazing and kind mother, wife, sister, and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Shuttleworth whom she married on June 26th, 2010, daughters, Elisa (Daneel) Myburgh and Cara Santamaria, sisters, Marisa (Larry) Kelly of Franklin Twp. and Teresa (Pete) Masterson of Lakewood, FL, and her brother, Eliot Pecoraro of Wexford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her first husband, Frank Santamaria whom she married on November 6, 1982 and passed away on September 8, 1994.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 4-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 31st, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Carmen Damico officiating. Entombment will follow at the Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery Northside. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday by 9:20 am.
Memorial contributions in Regina’s name may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
