James Edward “Jimmy” Cooper, 63

James Edward “Jimmy” Cooper, 63, of New Galilee passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Heritage Valley Beaver after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born August 7, 1957 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Willis A. and Rosemary A. Murphey Cooper. He was married to Karen Casuccio Cooper.

Jimmy was a machinist by trade for over 40 years. He enjoyed cars and riding in his jeep. He loved going to the beach and the pool. He was always willing to lend a hand. His favorite moments were spent with his sons and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Karen; four sons, James (Jaclyn) Cooper II of New Castle, Joey (Jacqueline) Cooper of Wampum, Jonathan Cooper of New Galilee, and Jacob (Christie) Cooper of Ellwood City; grandchildren, Olivia, Claire, Quinn, Clark, Hogan, Maelyn, and one on the way; two brothers, William (Jackie) Cooper of Wampum, Rusty (Lisa) Cooper of New Galilee; and a sister, Cindy Byers of Wampum.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Patty Knepper and Nora Cooper.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday June 11, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday June 12 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum with Pastor Charlene Kennedy officiating.

Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
