POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

BURGLARY:
On April 30, at approximately 12:50 p.m., New Castle Patrol Unit responded to a report of a burglary at a storage unit on Wampum Road in Wayne Township. According to the report, two Playstations were stolen along with a Sega Genesis, Boxing Gloves, Black Decker drill and drill bits, and Wii video game and games and a pad lock was damaged. All items are valued at $490.00.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF UNDER $1,000:
On May 18, at approximately 10:30 p.m., New Castle Patrol Unit responded to a report in Wayne Township of asphalt being thrown through the Complainants window located at a residence on Squaw Run Road. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the unknown Actor (s) threw a piece of asphalt through the living room window causing it to break. PSP New Castle is asking anyone with any information related to the incident to please call (724) 598-2211.

ACCIDENT:
PA State Police in New Castle responded to crash incident on June 1st on Armstrong Road in Perry Township. Unit 1 was traveling North on Armstrong Road, they negotiated a left curve when operator 1 kept going straight and into an embankment. The vehicle was towed by Wallace Towing. The driver sustained minor injury and was said to be wearing the seat belt.

VEHICLE FIRE:
PA State Police in New Castle responded to a vehicle incident on May 30th at 5:17 p.m. on State Highway 488 in Perry Township. A 2005 Honda Civic caught on fire while driving, PSP New Castle and Wurtemburg Fire responded and put the car fire out. The driver, John Kirkland, 55, of Beaver Falls, was not injured and was said to be wearing the seat belt. The car was a total loss.

TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT:
PA State Police in New Castle responded to a crash incident on May 24th at 6:30 p.m. on Portersville Road in Perry Township. The two vehicle crash occurred when 2012 Chevy Cruze, driven by an 18-year-old Ellwood City male, proceeded into the roadway after stopping at a stop sign while failing to yield to oncoming traffic. This resulted in a Dodge Ram 1500, driven by a 71-year-old Oil City man, being struck on the right side of the vehicle by Polojac. Upon arrival to the scene, State Police observed damage to the front Unit 1 and the right side of Unit 2. Polojac was cited for the offense. No injuries were sustained a result of the collision.

THEFT ALL OTHER:
According to a report, between the hours of 9:00 am on May 22nd and noon on May 23, a theft was reported in Wayne Township. An unknown actor(s) stole a black plastic mail box with a “surveilance sticker” attached to it. According to the New Castle Patrol Unit, the theft took place on Chewton Wurtemburg Road in Wayne Township. This is an ongoing investigation.

HARASS COMMUNICATION:
New Castle Patrol was contacted on May 25th from Volant Boro after a report of Harassment. A 36-year-old Volant woman reported that a known area woman, a 37-year-old Ellwood City woman, has been harassing another known area woman. This is an ongoing investigation.
