Emily Borroni, a senior at Lincoln High School was awarded the Holy Redeemer Social Club Scholarship on May 24th at the organization’s monthly meeting. Emily, the daughter of Jeff and Stephanie Borroni of Ellwood City, was presented with the award by President John Pansera. The $1,000.00 scholarship is presented to a graduation senior and member of the parish who provides superior service to her parish, community and school.
Emily is an Altar Server at Holy Redeemer where she was also chosen to assist the training of new servers. She also worked the bazaars and Festival in the Park events.
Her community and school service includes the Ministerium Food Bank, participating in Envirothon where she cleaned up the Wurtemburg Cut-off and Ellwood’s Ewing Park. She also tutored at Lincoln and participated in the March of Dimes.
Emily will attend Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio to earn a degree in Bio-medical engineering.
